Welcome to Caerynwch

Caerynwch House & Gardens is one of North Wales’ most enigmatic stately homes. The estate, which is familiar to travellers as the imposing historic mansion visible through the trees bordering the A470 just south of Dolgellau has belonged to the same family since about 1650.

The gardens, which were established in the 1800 and feature a collection of special rhododendrons brought back from China in the 1900’s by Mary Richards, a renowned botanist, are slowly being restored by her grandson Andrew Richards and his wife Hilary.

Caerynwch also provide and bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation in the form of Caerynwch House and Torrent Walk Cottages. Torrent Walk Cottages are 3 self-catering holiday cottages near Dolgellau, Snowdonia, North Wales - ideal for families with pets, walking holidays and mountain biking.
